Wildlife Safari

An adventure that takes any adventurer who like to explore the unexplored trails and unspoilt natural horizons of desert or country side or forests.

The jeeps will be arranged by The Tamarind Tree for the safari with experienced guide cum drivers. One such safari is Jungle safari. You have also got the options of explore the forest regions via elephant or even on a horse...
Bird Watching

The peace and tranquility of the environs, combined with the beauty of the birds, is enough to take away all types of tensions from your mind. What better place to enjoy bird watching, than the Forest? Masinagudi is home to over 320 species of birds like Grey headed bulbul, White napped woodpecker, Streak throated wookpecker, Malabar grey hornbill and list goes on. If you are lucky you may even spot a Rufus bellied hawk eagle, Black eagle, Red headed vulture, Brown fish owl, Eurasian eagle owl.

Local sightseeing

The masinagudi town and its surrounding virgin villages in and around ooty, Nilgiris is rich with its historical tales dating back to hundreds of years, the mysore kingdom's influence and legends surrounding the ancient temples, caves surrounding the ooty township.

There are also breathtaking sights of valleys, rivers and plain lands. There are enough stuff to see around for a day or two. You are sure to be entertained all the way.
Visit to Tribal Village

Deep in the jungle, up on the Nilgiri Hills, the Toda mund lives in harmony with nature. The Toda traditionally live in settlements consisting of three to seven small thatched houses, constructed in the shape of half-barrels and spread across the slopes of the pasture. You may enjoy their tribal rituals and get to know their age-old lifestyle. You may also explore the famed Nilgiris tea estates nearby Masinagudi.

Trekking

It may be difficult to spot too many animals due to the thick forestation, but you might see a few Malabar Giant Squirrels and Bisons, and if you are lucky, tigers and several more. The variety of birds you can see here is excellent. The biodiversity you get to see in Masanagudi- Bandipur is truly amazing.

We take care to ensure that getting the permission from the forest department to go on your trek is made as easy as possible.
