‘Tis the season for celebration

‘Tis the season for celebration

Remember the days when we used to say that no force could hamper the growth of the wedding industry? The industry stood strong even during the great depression and sailed smoothly through demonetization. Well, the force heard it and sent the virus our way! The 50-billion-dollar industry has now been dented due to the global pandemic. It has affected the livelihood of millions in the business, but more importantly couples who had dreamt that 2020 would be the turning point of their lives.

As though someone hit “pause”, the movie that is life is at a halt. When do we get to happily ever after? While most couples have decided not to wait and have their D – day in the comfort of their homes, there are quite a few who want to fulfill their heart’s desires and postpone the wedding of their dreams. * Calling 2021 * With a high increase in property bookings for 2021, it seems like all the celebration of this year is getting pushed on to the next.

Even the ones who have gotten married at home are booking venues for the after-party. Though the frustration of being apart for longer is increasing day after day, couples have found ways to keep them occupied in this ‘pre-wedding’ phase. It goes without saying that these are done while fully being aware of the health precautions.

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

What you have heard is true, there is absolutely no time during the wedding to focus on taking pictures. We have seen this day in and day out at our property. When the world realized this, is when the concept of pre-wedding photoshoots skyrocketed. But the pre-COVID world had us in a rat race without being able to dedicate time entirely for such activities. Now that there is plenty of time on their hands, many couples are planning thematic photoshoots at our venue. With photographers’ creativity reigning free after the lockdown period, the results of these have been extraordinary.

Wedding movie

Who said only Raj and Simran should have a dramatic love story? There is always some part of us that has envisioned a movie-like scene where our love echoes through the mountains and clear sky. Even if this seems like going slightly overboard, you could always plan a one-day shoot conceptualizing your love story into reality. Imagine making it a classic in black and white amidst the stone pillars and age-old trees of The Tamarind Tree…. Popcorn, please!

Getaway with family

Work from home has been driving the world crazy, and it is natural to want a change of place. Plan a weekday getaway with your partner or gather the fam and cozy up at The Villa for a much-needed breather. Do some unrealistic wedding planning, have a practice dance-off for your sangeet, or just play scrabble and spend quality time under the calming shade of the stone mantapa.

Get fit and perfect the dance moves

Zoom calls aren’t just for meetings. Gone are the excuses of “I have no time” to work out. Mission 2021 for the wedding can have a list of health goals that you would like to achieve with your partner. Fitness organizations such as Cult offer a live personal training session that can help you get fit with virtual training. If you think you are fit enough, then it’s time to turn on the music and perfect those tumkas.
